SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. -- (WKMG) -- A video fad has cost a Central Florida police department about $1,200 in damage to a cruiser.
South Daytona police are searching for a man who they say damaged a police cruiser by jumping on the hood as the person who recorded video of the incident yelled, "Put 'em in the coffin." Police said it's part of a fad in which people jump onto a surface with their arms crossed.
A dent was first found on the hood while police were doing a routine maintenance check on the car. They later found a video posted on Jose Marquez's Facebook page. The video was posted in May but wasn't reported until later.
